It is with great regret and much sadness that I write to you to advise that as of 31st December 2011 Clogher Valley Golf Club will no longer exist in its current form. Despite the efforts of council there are irreconcilable differences between ourselves and the owner in relation to renewing the lease and these have been impossible to overcome.

Unfortunately the club was unable to form a council at the Annual General Meeting on Thursday 15th December and under GUI rules the Club must have at least a Captain, Secretary/Treasurer and Handicap Committee elected by the members. This is the minimum requirement for affiliation to the GUI, who have confirmed that they would have reconsidered our affiliation if they had known that the owner was putting stipulations on the council rather than letting the council run the Club as they see fit. 

The Bar/Restaurant/B&B are still open for business as usual.
